Abstract
The situla vessels were common among bronze objects since the New Kingdom, the Late period until the Greco-Roman period. This paper sheds light on a bronze situla or bucket of the priest Pa-di-Amun-neb-nesut-tawy preserved in the British Museum, London (EA 38214). It was found at Thebes. The article will describe the two scenes depicted on the situla, studies all its inscriptions, discusses the libation formula, comments on the titles of the deceased and tries to reach to the accurate generation of his family. The research included a Paleographical study of the signs inscribed of the surface of the object. Also; the article discusses the situlae vessels depicted on the temples’ and tombs’ scenes, the scenes indicate that the situlae were used in rituals or ceremonies inside the temple such as Edfou and Dendara temple. Likewise, Situla vessels appeared in private tombs scenes, and they were found as a part of the offerings presented to the deceased. تعد أوانى الستيولا أحد الأوانى البرونزية الشائعة في مصر منذ عصر الدولة الحديثة، والعصر المتأخر وحتى العصرين البطلمى والرومانى. تلقى هذه الورقة البحثية الضور على أحد أوانى الستيولا الخاصة بالكاهن بادى-أمون-نب-نسيوت-تاوى المحفوظة بالمتحف البريطاني في لندن تحت رقم (EA 38214) والتي تم العثور عليها في طيبة. وسوف يتم في هذا البحث وصف الستيولا والمنظرين الموجودين عليها، كما ستدرس كل النقوش الموجودة على سطحها، وسوف تناقش الصيغة المعروفة بصيغة سكب ماء التطهير، كما سوف يتم التعليق على ألقاب المتوفى صاحب الإناء، وكذلك سوف تضع تسلسل مضبوط لنسب أسرته. كما تضمن البحث دراسة خطية لشكل العلامات المنقوشة على سطح الأداة. كذلك تناقش هذه الورقة البحثية أوانى الستيولا التي صورت في مناظر المعابد والمقابر المصرية، وتوضح هذه المناظر أن الستيولا كانت تستخدم في الطقوس والاحتفالات داخل المعبد لاسيما معبد إدفو ودندرة. وبالمثل ظهرت أوانى الستيولا في مناظر مقابر الأفراد كجزء من القرابين المقدمة للمتوفى.
